What are your fees?

My sessions are 50 minutes long and $170.  Sessions are scheduled at a frequency to be determined by the therapist and the client(s).  Any phone calls that last longer than 15 minutes will be charged at a pro-rated amount.  A limited number of exceptions to these rates may be made for students or in the case of extenuating financial circumstances.  Fees are payable at the end of each session by credit card, check, or cash.  Sessions that are cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the above rate.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

I am considered an out-of-network provider.  I am licensed and may provide a receipt for therapy services for you to send to your insurance provider.  I cannot guarantee that you will be reimbursed for services and encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to our first session.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Brookwood Center for Psychotherapy is located in between 25th Street and Deering on Peachtree Street.  If you take Deering, you can find a back driveway behind the Masonic Temple that leads directly to the back parking lot and visitor’s spaces.  Take the elevator to the 5th floor to suite 505.

HOW DO i GET STARTED?

Simply contact me!  You can send an email, give me a call, or complete the form under the "contact me" page.  Leave me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.  I like to have a brief phone conversation so that we have an opportunity to get to know one another, discuss logistics or questions you may have, and schedule an appointment.

What is the therapeutic process like?

The journey is different for everyone.  Therapy is not about feeling "better" but about feeling "authentically".  It is important that we seek to establish an open and collaborative relationship in which we can discuss your needs, hopes, and expectations as we develop goals for your therapy.  Additionally, because you will be discussing some unpleasant aspects of your life, it is important to recognize that you will likely experience some intense feelings.  Not only is this normal, it is beneficial.  Typically, I like to see clients once a week in the beginning to establish rapport.  Then a step-down process can begin as goals are met.  The "end" of services is about maintenance.  Just like having periodic doctor or dentist visits, therapy can be beneficial for sustained amounts of time as stressors arise in our lives.

What is your availability?

I hold office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays with afternoon and evening availability.
